Bangladesh has good public universities which are known to provide low-cost education and good academic reputation. But many public institutions have problem with session jamming, overcrowded classrooms, conflict with politics and deficient technological facilities.
While many private universities tend to prioritize keeping academic time tables, technological learning systems, and student-centered education. Career guidance and opportunities for practical learning are often more effective and many students end up being competitive in the corporate world. But not every private university has the same standard of quality. Effective regulation and accreditation standards should ensure high standards throughout the sector.
Challenges in Higher Education
Even though Bangladesh has made strides, there are still several areas of challenges in the higher education sector. The mismatch of education and industry requirements is one of the problems. One of the reasons many graduates do not have jobs is that they lack the practical skills.
